Announced at the 2006 Basel Fair, the Grand Seiko SBGL003 features an 18k white gold case and a 3 Days movement. This timepiece is limited to 200 pieces. It houses the CAL.9S67 mechanical self-winding movement, which boasts a power reserve of 72 hours (approximate three-days).
The fine finish of the dark brown dial is inspired by the rough and magnificent ridgeline of Mt. Iwate. The brown coloring reminds us of the deepening autumn around Mt. Iwate.
The Grand Seiko SBGL003 automatic watch displays the time with three centrally positioned hands and the date through a window located at 3 o’clock. It also has a power reserve indicator at the left side of the date aperture.
The white gold Grand Seiko Mechanical 3 Days watch comes with a 38.5mm diameter case fitted with a see-through sapphire crystal glass case-back that allows the wearer to admire the automatic 9S67 calibre. The case parts spotlight special finishing techniques like Zaratsu polishing. The watch has a water resistance of 100 meters.
Launched in October 2006, this <Grand Seiko> master shop Japan limited edition timepiece featured a dark brown crocodile strap with three-fold type clasp made of 18K white gold. Like all the timepieces from the Grand Seiko Mechanical collection, it was manufactured by a dedicated team at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Morioka Seiko Industries, a subsidiary of Seiko Instruments Inc.
