The Esplendido watch (ref. 2312) was released soon after the Cuervo y Sobrinos brand was relaunched.
This series was comprised of manual-winding models in 18 carat gold. They house historical calibres retrieved from the Cuervo y Sobrinos vault in Havana.
The Cuervo y Sobrinos 2312 Esplendido was produced in yellow gold, pink gold and white gold versions. Each case variant was limited to 88 pieces.
This 1940s style wristwatch has a rectangular case. Measuring 40X30 millimetres, the case is slightly bent to follow ergonomically the wrist line and ends with big drop like handles that reminds in the design at the Eiffel tower base.
The Rose and Yellow Gold versions were offered with cream or black dials. The white gold version was available in four dial colours: Pink, White, Silver, and Black.
The dial features eight index hour-markers, Roman numeral for 12 o’ clock and triangular indexes at 3H and 9H. The hour and minute hands are leaf-shaped, and the small seconds dial is positioned just above the 6 o’clock index. The brand name CUERVO Y SOBRINOS HABANA is placed below 12H.
The mechanical heart beating inside each Cuervo y Sobrinos 2312 Esplendido watch is a rare manual-winding movement (calibre 380061) with small seconds function, 17 rubies and a special anti-shock system.
These timepieces were provided with crocodile leather strap with an 18 carat gold (yellow, pink and white) buckle personalized by the Cuervo y Sobrinos mark.
