GEORGES V WATCHES: Model V-5050 (Flyback Chronograph with Perpetual Calendar and Moon-phase)

Dressed in an elegant rounded-square shaped case, this automatic timepiece incorporates two of the most appreciated complications in watchmaking: Flyback Chronograph and Perpetual Calendar. With a generous dial diameter, the perpetual calendar details are perfectly balanced and in perfect harmony with the fly-back chronograph function.

A high complication model from the Georges V « V » Collection, this watch boasts a well-proportioned design. Once with its date set, wound up and never allowed to stop, the V-5050 fly-back chronograph with perpetual calendar watch will indicate the date, day and month up to the year 2100, with alarming accuracy and without needing the slightest adjustment. At that time it will be necessary to make a small correction.

Available exclusively on yellow, pink or white gold or platinum, the beautiful case is enhanced by a hand-sewn crocodile strap or gold bracelet, supple to wear. Further, the watchmakers have fitted a transparent case back, so that the movement that has been finished to rarely achieved standards can be seen.

As with all company products, each model bears its own individual serial number. The hand-assembled exclusive movement features circular graining and chamfering. The solid gold rotor of this automatic movement is engraved with the company’s emblem (a stylised fleur delis) and given a guilloche finish. Blue screws and softened steels play with the different colours of the metals to give this particularly complicated movement a jewellery-like appearance.

Disposing of two counters, this square-shaped product, with its especially pleasing curves, will sit snugly on all wrists, despite its unusual shape.

The counterpoint of the large date placed at 12 o’clock accentuates the charm of this sober piece with slate-grey dial. The sapphire crystal case back reveals a chronograph movement produced exclusively for the Georges V Company. The rotor, engraved with the company’s monogram, the watch’s individual serial number and a fine guilloche ornamentation, turns on top of a chronograph movement assembled and embellished by hand.

Model: Georges V V-3015 Weekly Calendar

A veritable annual calendar, the “V” 3015 in addition to the simple function of reading the time offers: the automatic indication of the days, date and months of the year as they pass by. The principle of this complication is that it is not necessary to readjust the date at the end of 30 day months, as the watch performs this function on its own, thanks to its cams.

Perfectly legible at a glance (the counting of the weeks is achieved by means of a centrally located hand); it quickly becomes obvious that this rare watch is essential. Available in yellow or white gold, on leather or gold bracelet, this watch embodies all the attributes of its collection, proudly bearing the name of “V”

Model: Georges V “V” 4018 Perpetual Calendar

A solid gold “square-domed” case, a gold bracelet with heavy cambered links, a bluish-slate grey dial, with an exclusive mechanical movement with automatic winding, displaying a perpetual calendar with phases of the moon: this is the “V” 4018.

This watch with its sporty design houses a rare movement with delicate complications capable of facing time without faltering. It is precisely within this juxtaposition that the whole timelessness of this model, assembled by the hands of craftsmen, reveals itself.

Beneath its hands, with their unique lanceolated design, inspired by the long swords of
Greek antiquity, it displays a perpetual calendar, which cannot be caught out before the year 2100, at which date the Gregorian calendar will require adjustment.

A veritable infallible mechanical computer with a very contemporary design, Gold blue “V” 4018 from Georges V sets the tone for what is the epitome of watchmaking in a universe highly influenced by conformism.

Its mechanical movement served by a solid gold rotor, hand engraved with the company’s coat of arms, rewinds in both directions a movement, which has been refined and embellished to standards equivalent to those demanded by the charter of the Geneva hallmark. All the bars are rhodium-plated and then circle-engrained by hand, their angles softened by the expert hands of artists and all its steel parts, have been polished for hours by specialists, to exploit the different shades susceptible of endowing this exclusive movement with a jewellery-like appearance.

As with all company products, each model bears its own individual serial number.
The complication of this model, with its finely designed counters, lies hidden beneath the dial. A very complex collection of cams, wheels and springs measures the elapsed time of the even and uneven months and automatically adds the extra day for the month of February in the leap years, without the need for human intervention.
