OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Chronograph 42mm

This automatic timepiece from the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional family incorporates a three-counter chronograph endowed with a poetic moon phase display.

The OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Chronograph model displays a small-seconds sub-dial at 9 o’ clock. It has two chronograph counters: 30-minute recorder at 3 o’ clock and 12-hour recorder at 6 o’ clock. It comes with three centre hands for indicating hour, minute and chronograph 60 seconds. A fourth sub-dial, at the 12’clock position, has moonphase and date indicators.

This watch is available in stainless steel, 18-carat white gold and platinum versions. Beating inside is a meticulously finished manual-winding movement with 48 hours power reserve. Omega has equipped both steel and white gold versions of the Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Chronograph with the caliber 1866, which is based on the famous caliber 1861 with additional moonphase and date indicator.

The mechanical calibre is visible through the transparent caseback. The 42mm diameter case is mounted with a black tachymeter bezel for steel and white gold models.

The Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Chronograph timepiece comes with a two-position crown at 3 o’ clock for winding and time-setting. It should be noted that the calibre does not have a ’stop second’ mechanism. Further, it has two push-buttons (at 2H and 4H) for chronograph functions. It employs two correctors on the left side of the case: one for setting the date (small counter at 12 o’clock) and one for correcting the moon phase.

All the Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Chronograph models mentioned here feature baton hands for hour and minutes, and a spear-shaped centre seconds hand.
